Hi!! I am Sophia Wren Perlee, a Georgia peach based (with so much love) in Charleston, SC. I am the founder and operator of Perlee Digital, a marketing studio that uses digital means to bring people to a physical space. That's how I see every project in my life. Everything I do is to create meaningful moments of connection.
When I'm not working with my amazing clients, I'm painting as WREN, collaborating with local artists and musicians, or planning the next art event.

I'm an artist by the name Wren.
I'm a lifelong painter creating work throughout Charleston on canvases and walls. I sign all my paintings as WREN and draw inspiration from music I love!

I work with bands, venues and events to create hand-drawn flyers and fun art to represent them!

Where art meets music.
Art Serenade is an event I host every year with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League to support the Charleston Symphony. It pairs local visual artists with Charleston Symphony musicians. Each painting is inspired by a song from the upcoming season, and the event brings live painting, live symphony music, and a vendor market to Park Circle. 100% of the funds raised go to the artists and to scholarships for young musicians across the Lowcountry.

Orange House is a grassroots venue in downtown Charleston started with cellist and singer-songwriter Claire Solomon.
It's a free mini festival held throughout the year, offering an intentional evening of local musical performances.

Creative Current is a free monthly art club I co-founded in 2024 with Hannah Staib of Indulge in Art. We meet the first Wednesday of every month.
First Wednesdays
Free, every month, open to all Charleston creatives. We start at 7 pm. We do a different activity every month, for all skill levels!
Collaborative art
We have partnered with James Simmons Montessori, Daniela's Downtown, Paper Canopy, Surfrider and more to create free and fun art-centered activities.

Bigger projects
Every 4th of JulySurfrider cleanup & Folly Boat painting party
- Two years in a row, we teamed up with Surfrider for a 4th of July street cleanup.
- Then we painted the Folly Boat with water-based spray paint.
- Messages like "Make waves, not waste."
Twice a yearThe Creative Swap
- Everyone puts 2 words in a bowl and draws 2 at random.
- You have one month to make something based on your words.
- At the next meeting, we share what we made.
- It shows different perspectives and styles, how your words inspire others, and how you're inspired by the community.
James Simmons MontessoriCollaborative sculpture
- Each creator designed a piece of reclaimed wood around the idea of "flow."
- A few months later, we brought the pieces together into one sculpture.
- We donated it to the school so the kids could add their own pieces.
- A beautiful way to show individual voices in a collective piece.

Where it all
I do a lot of different things, but it all comes back to one mission: bring people together in real life to create wonderful memories.
Events, music and art are some of my favorite parts of being a human. A favorite song, an abstract painting or a joyful room full of people can communicate in ways that go far beyond words. I believe art is for EVERYONE, and the more people create, the more connected we all become.
